People behind safer chemicals

It’s all about the people – that’s a phrase I keep hearing lately. It’s also the reason I’ve given for years for enjoying my work. I've been fortunate to collaborate with many green scientists across sectors and disciplines, and it’s the people that keep me motivated and inspired. This blog is about the people.

Everyone has a personal story: how they started out, who helped them along the way, what keeps them motivated, why they are working in their field, what has helped them the most in their career, what they think needs to happen for the future for green and sustainable chemistry.

Through this blog, I want to tell those personal stories that we can all learn from and to give a “behind the scenes” look into the field of safer chemicals. I’ll be interviewing the experts as well as providing my own insights and input from readers like you. And making it fun too!

My aim for the blog is to provide advice/tips related to safer, more sustainable chemicals & products, mentoring/career advice for all career stages through personal experiences, and trends/vision for the future including research and policy needs.
