Sustainability in chemical businesses and laboratories means holistically reducing energy, greenhouse gas emissions, water, waste, and hazardous chemicals. These concepts are embodied in the principles of green chemistry and green engineering.
Forward-thinking start-up companies are addressing sustainability from inception through scale-up. By implementing small, though significant, changes to operations, organizations can not only reduce their environmental impact, but they can also save money, time, and other valuable resources.
This symposium will share practical methods to reduce footprints of start-up, small, and growing businesses, to benefit the health of the community and the triple bottom line.
